Venice, the floating city of Italy. Aman Venice is a luxury hotel that opened in June 2013. We will introduce you to Aman Venice’s rooms, facilities, and meals in detail. Please enjoy.

Arrival and Water Taxi Experience.

Let’s start at Santa Lucia Station in Venice. We took the Italian train to this station. Meet the Aman Venice staff at the station.

As we exit the station, we are greeted with a beautiful view of Venice. There is a water taxi stand. Take a water taxi from the station to the hotel. If we request a transfer to Aman Venice, the water taxi costs 310 EUR (337 USD) each way. This is inside the water taxi. Tissues and alcohol disinfectant are provided inside the water taxi.

It takes about 10 minutes by water taxi from the station to the hotel. This time, we took a water taxi from the Venice station, but we can also take a water taxi from the Venice airport. I think the experience of taking a water taxi to the hotel is very enjoyable. Venice has many small arched bridges that allow boats to pass under them.

The city of Venice is full of small shops and restaurants. The canal branches out, and there are many other boats running as well. Up close, the water in Venice’s canals is not very clean. After a while, we will enter a wide canal. This wide canal is called the Grand Canal. Aman Venice is a hotel located along the Grand Canal.

Aman Venice was originally the Palazzo Papadopoli, a palace built in the mid-16th century. The palace was built in the mid-16th century and then passed to the nobility. It was renovated in 2011 and opened as a hotel in June 2013. When we arrived at the hotel, we moved to the lobby. This is the lobby reception.

White statue. Could it be the aristocrat who lived there long ago? The interior of the lobby is luxurious. Before it was turned into a hotel, it was a mansion for aristocrats, so we can still see remnants of that in the lobby. Staying in a historic aristocratic mansion is a wonderful experience. After checking in at the lobby, we moved to the room.

We will take a look at the hotel facilities after going to the room. It’s a passage. It was originally a mansion for aristocrats, so it feels more like a home than a hotel. Unsurprisingly, rooms with a canal view are more expensive (more than 2,000 EUR per night, even in low season).
